Shimmerz Licorice Spritz vs. Before Dawn Vibez

Have you ever wondered what the difference is between the two black mists that Shimmerz produces? Wonder no more!

Licorice Spritz and Before Dawn Vibez are amazing products with very different ways of reacting on paper. Watch my video as I demonstrate how different these two seemingly similar products really are!

I case those projects whizzed by too fast, here are some still pics for you.

The layout that I created with Shimmerz Spritz in Licorice appears like a beautiful silver wash in the background. Can you imagine how cool this product would be used with a mask and black cardstock? Can't wait to give that a whirl!

My project using Shimmerz Vibez in Before Dawn has a much more subtle effect. The Before Dawn Vibez appears more like individual sparkles on black paper. You can see the beautiful shimmer on the close-up of the crepe paper border. (The very edge is glitter. The Vibez can be seen on the ruffled part.)

In conclusion...if you are looking for a silver-y wash of color, reach for your Licorice Spritz. If you are looking for sparkle that doesn't overwhelm the background, reach for your Before Dawn Vibez.

Have fun playing with these great products!

Happy Shimmering!

In my video, I show you how to decorate a metal frame that I purchased at Target using white Petaloo flowers and Shimmerz Spritz and Pearlz.

The technique is very simple, but the results are stunning.

You can see the detail in the following close-up shots.

In the video, I used the following Shimmerz products that you can purchase here.

Snow Storm Vibez (on flowers)
Ballet Slipper Pearlz (on flowers)

Shimmer and Petaloo Lace

Hi everyone! It's Lucy, here to kick off an exciting week for Shimmerz and Petaloo!! We have teamed up to show you what a gorgeous combination the Color Me Crazy Petaloo flowers are when teamed up with Shimmerz!!

I've put together a video tutorial showing how to make a lacy effect that you can use on many projects! Hope you enjoy!

And some close-ups of my project - I used Shimmerz in Flashee Fushia, Magenta and Hottie Pink for my background and added a sublte shimmer to the Petaloo flowers with Tuscan Sun Spritz.

LOVE that SHIMMER!!!

We will have many more gorgeous projects to share with you this week from the Design Team and Jeni and Beth both have videos to share later in the week, so stay tuned! See you soon,

Let it Drip with Shimmerz Vibez

I've been having so much fun with my new Shimmerz Vibez! I love the intensity of color and the amazing shimmer. However, the thing that I like most is that many of the Vibez sprays are two toned. For example, Red-y-or-Not is a beautiful red, but when I angle my paper, I can see a beautiful silver sheen. So cool! Experiment with different colors and you too will fall in love with the gorgeous two-tone shimmer!

Here are a few pictures that kind-of show that two-tone effect with Jeni B Bleu and Sunset Strip Vibez. It's tough to capture shimmer on camera. (I think that you need to see it in person to really appreciate it.)

In my video, I demonstrate an easy-peasy-lemon-squeezy technique using Shimmerz Vibez. This technique is so simple (and fun!) that your 6-year-old could do it with you. And since Shimmerz is an easy clean-up and non-toxic, you won't mind sharing a little with your sweetie. (Maybe...)

Have fun!

In this video, I used the following Vibez colors: Jeni B Bleu, Sunset Strip and Hermit the Frog. You can purchase Shimmerz products in the Shimmerz store.

Happy Shimmering!

Shimmerz Pearlz Resist Technique

I discovered this technique quite by accident and I'm so pleased! It is incredibly simple, but makes such a stunning background that I know you're going to love it.

Here are the projects that I made using my Shimmerz Pearlz Resist Technique.

The materials that you will need are a pot of Shimmerz Pearlz (I used Pearl), cardstock, something to stamp with (I used bubblewrap) and a bottle of Shimmerz Vibez or Spritz. (I used Shimmerz Vibez Grape Escape.)

I hope that you enjoy my video!

Here are a few close-ups of my tags so you can see the shimmer in the sunlight. Gorgeous!
