Clearly Shimmerz!

Have you gotten your order in for the new Shimmerz Coloringzs?  I am in love. The colors are brilliant, and intense, and were perfect for my making of this mixed media album, "Punky Love", by Punky Sprouts!

I used Coloringzs in No Yoking, Pink Stiletto, Mon-Shari, and Valentino... and some Vibez in Jeni B Blue! Here are a couple close-ups of the transparency and acrylic pages you will see me alter and embellish...

The Color Room Palette #43 with Shimmerz

Photobucket
For the Color Room palette this week (#43), I demonstrate customizing a Prima paintable paper using Shimmerz Vibez: Sunset Strip, Princess, and Spritz Sea Foam.

I should mention that I used a cloud/hills shape as a misting template just to get some general curves.  You'll see what I mean.

And finally, this is the layout I completed using the customized paper in the video :)  for the Color Room palette 43.  Join us and give the challenge a try and be eligible to win a Shimmerz prize package!

Can you see the shimmering on the paper?  I love how it turned out so pastel and beautiful like the palette!  You can purchase the products here. Thank you for checking this out!

Punky Sprouts album transfer technique

wow that's a mouthful... anyway I was lucky enough to get one of the Punky Sprouts mixed media albums to play with and have a quick video to show you how to transfer printed paper onto canvas - it's super easy and when laid over the Shimmerz Vibez, it looks like it was always meant to be there!

So here's the video, hope you give it a try.

Shimmerz Paints Techniques part 2

Hi there again!

Lydell here, with the second installment of the punky Sprouts album I started last week. With the cover done, I tried out a few techniques on some of the other pages. There was a lot to get through today....Thank goodness for the speed up function in the video production is all I can say!!!

Ok. Here is the cover.

It is certainly lots of fun to tie the colour scheme of your album together using paints, and the possibilities are absolutely endless.
Here is the video anyway!

Paint techniques with Punky Sprouts

Hi there!
I have a video for you today, showing you some things I did with canvas, acrylic, metal and chipboard.
Today, I am working with a Punky Sprouts 'Rebel Sprout' Album.  Lots of Techniques and ideas in this one! (This video will continue next week.  There was just too much to fit into one!)
First up I will work on the cover of the album, using a metal door plate, lots of Shimmerz Paints and some flowers.  I saw an album Marion Smith created using some vintage metal items, so when I found this antique door plate I knew I wanted to have a go! So lets get started........

Hope you are inspired to get out an album now!!!

Framed Art - SO VERY EASY!

First of all - HAPPY NEW YEAR 2011!

It's Lesley with you today, and I'm going to try and convince you to create your own pieces of art for the wall.

Creating your own framed art is so very easy, not to mention inexpensive too!  If you have some Shimmerz, you must try using them on watercolor paper!  In the video, I used 140 pound watercolor paper, and it's meant to withstand a great deal of watercolors and paints, and in this case, VIBEZ too.

If you have about 10 minutes, grab a cup of joe and watch how easy this is.  I would love to see this done with other colors too, so if you happen to try this, we'd love to see it!  Share your link below and we'll come have a peek!

Shimmerz Products Used in this Video:
Tickle Me Turquoise Shimmerz

Other Supplies:
