Layout Album- Part 1- Cover

Hi there again.

I have spent today creating.......and was it ever fun. As I always seem to struggle with, I came up with something too complicated to include in one video. So in today's video I will show you what I did to the cover and then include details of how I finished the rest of in a future video!

As you have probably already seen Shimmerz Paintz have released a Limited Edition Collection of Christmas colours for the Holiday season. They are wonderful and my project today is based on them!

Remember those summerdays with Shimmerz

Oh those limited edition colors are sending me straight into Holiday mood!

But, before that.. I had to get my hands on some summermemories to cheer up the day around here.. Scrapping some photos from the outdoor picnics this summer. I had lots of fun with bright colors, drips and drops. Playing with gesso and textures.

Christmas Charm Bracelet and Quick Wrapping Paper

I must have been a good girl this year because I was lucky to get my hands on the newest Shimmerz Winter release colors!

It is hard to say which colors I like the most because they are all so beautiful. However, I have to point out that Jack Frost Enamelz is really amazing. It isn't like your ordinary embossing powder. It is chunky like bits of mica flakes and it is a dream to work with.

These colors are so bright and happy that I wanted to make something whimsical and fun with them.

This Christmas charm bracelet fit the bill. Christmas trees and snowballs, oh my!

Even though this project looks complicated, it really isn't.

And, because I think that creating homemade wrapping paper is so fun, I also included a quick demo on how to decorate plain paper. Now, you can create a cute charm bracelet and wrap it beautifully!

I hope that you enjoy the video! And while you are watching and learning the simple techniques, think about different shapes that you could create for your charm bracelet. What about cute Santa hats? Or presents? The possibilities are endless!

I am not usually that picky with these things but I wanted my artsy side to show.. So I went ahead and altered an old handbag in my particular artsy style.. and it was perfect.

"Hi everyone - I am so happy to be the newest member of the shimmerz team! Today I am bringing you a very basic technique using my shimmerz paints. I often get asked how I create my backgrounds for my journals with shimmerz - how I get the depth of color and the blend of colors - so here in this video is my very simple technique for creating great backgrounds!

I promise in the next video that I will introduce myself properly on the video, ie showing my face etc. etc. - just didn't have time to do a proper intro this month!"

Delicious-ly Fall!

 Are you starting to decorate for Fall yet? Do you decorate for Fall? I do, in fact, it is one of my favorite times to break out all my flowers, pumpkins, and paint. There is just something spectacular about a season that reminds us to give thanks!

Here is a little glimpse of what we will be making today... jazzing up a plain, white, craft pumpkin, and some teeny little colored ones too.

 Here is the palette we are using, so go grab your supplies, plus a white craft pumpkin, and some minis too.
