I would like to thank everyone who applied for the Shimmerz Education Team. It was an honor to witness all of your amazing creativity in person. Thank you for sharing yourselves with us.
I know that many artists made a video for the very first time for this application. I hope that you will continue in your video-making as each one was wonderful. It was a very difficult decision to chose only a few out of the many.
Without further ado...
I would like to announce the Shimmerz Education Team.
I know that you will be blown away by the artistry and teaching of these beautiful women! We are thrilled that they have become part of the Shimmerz family.
Hi everyone, it is Monday and video time. Today, I am going to show you how to make this little beauty of a flower painted with Shimmerz Choc-o-lot. The patterned papers used are from Graphic 45, Steampunk Debutante collection. If you attended Archiver's Scrapfest event, you will recognize this flower. I have changed it up just a little bit by adding sparkles and shimmer to it by painting it with Shimmerz Choc-o-lot!! You will want to make this flower for sure! Enjoy!
Hi, it's Lucy here with another idea for using your Shimmerz Vibez or Spritz - Open them up and paint with them - you can achieve some wonderful washes and watercolor looks.
Join me today as I demonstrate an easy technique for sprucing up a plain piece of white cardstock using Shimmerz, Pearlz, and Vibez and an old credit card. Don't worry, it won't affect your credit score! (giggle...)
Isn't that Shimmer gorgeous?
On this layout, I used Shimmerz Pearlz in Blue By U and Carrot Top as well as Shimmerz Spritz in Cotton Candy. In my demo, I used Blue By U Pearlz, Peas B Mine Pearlz, Sunny Shimmerz and Fiery Fiesta Vibez.
You can always purchase Shimmerz products at the Shimmerz shop!
I've recently discovered that SHIMMERZ and jewlery just go together. We love to wear shimmery, shiney, blingy jewlery, and SHIMMERZ delivers. This first video will show you how to get started. It's so fun and super easy!!! Enjoy.
I don't want you to forget about the Shimmerz Education Team Call! You have a little less than 3 weeks to organize yourselves and send in your application. If you love to teach and you love Shimmerz (and really, who doesn't?), this team is the perfect fit!
Plus, a little birdie just told me that we will be teaming up with some ROCKING guest designers and ROCKING sponsors. I can't wait to spill the beans...It's like waiting for Christmas...so hard...zipping the lips right now. Throwing away the key...giggle...
I can't wait to see your videos and projects!
xoxo

This may seem like a no brainer, but it wasn't till last week that I tried painting embellishments with Shimmerz myself. I will add a picture of the dried painted embellishment in the video later, but meanwhile, check out this easy thing to do with Vibez and Pearlz.
As promised last month, I made a technique video demonstrating how I made the cover of my Junque Journal.
I use this technique a lot when I'm making backgrounds. It may look complicated, but it is easy-peasy-lemon-squeezy.
This is the cover that I demo in the video.
Enjoy!
In this video, I used the new Fiery Fiesta Vibez as well as Blue into town Pearlz. You can purchase Shimmerz products in the Shimmerz Shop.

I just had the 'Delight' of working with some air dry modeling compound - called Delight and mixing it with some of the new Shimmerz products - Vibez and Pearlz!
You can see how I created my button embellishments in this how-to tutorial.
You will need the following supplies:
Delight - air dry modeling compound Shimmerz Pearlz - Luscious Lilac, Blue By U, Peas Be Mine - I also used some Vibez to accent in Pop Art Pink & Fiery Fiesta Stamp to impress into air dry clay Small cutters - the size you want to make your buttons - I used a lid
I hope you enjoy making your own unique embellishments! Thanks for watching!
I first saw this project when I visited Tangie Baxter's booth at Bliss Fest in Mesa, AZ. I fell completely in love with the Junque Journal and knew I had to make one. So I did...Shimmerz Style!
Let me show you why this project rocks my socks.
I hope you're convinced of the necessity of a junque journal! (giggle...)
The Spritz and Vibez colors that I used in this project are...
Spritz
Chick-a-dee
Sea Foam
Vibez
Red-y or not
Sunset Strip
Sea Monkey
Blue jeans
Hermit the Frog
As always, you can purchase Shimmerz products in the Shimmerz shop.
Hi, it's Lucy here to share a fun and simple way to create your own doily patterned paper, a popular trend right now! I've used Shimmerz Vibez and Spritz in the fast and easy technique as you can see in the layout below.
Have you ever wondered what the difference is between the two black mists that Shimmerz produces? Wonder no more!
Licorice Spritz and Before Dawn Vibez are amazing products with very different ways of reacting on paper. Watch my video as I demonstrate how different these two seemingly similar products really are!
I case those projects whizzed by too fast, here are some still pics for you.
The layout that I created with Shimmerz Spritz in Licorice appears like a beautiful silver wash in the background. Can you imagine how cool this product would be used with a mask and black cardstock? Can't wait to give that a whirl!
My project using Shimmerz Vibez in Before Dawn has a much more subtle effect. The Before Dawn Vibez appears more like individual sparkles on black paper. You can see the beautiful shimmer on the close-up of the crepe paper border. (The very edge is glitter. The Vibez can be seen on the ruffled part.)
In conclusion...if you are looking for a silver-y wash of color, reach for your Licorice Spritz. If you are looking for sparkle that doesn't overwhelm the background, reach for your Before Dawn Vibez.
Class Fee ($35.00) includes everything you need to make the album.
Please bring the following tools:
3+ photos (no larger than 4x6), scissors, heat gun, paint brushes (various sizes, no bigger than 1 in), 1 foam brush (for applying glue if you don't want to use your finger), Mod Podge, any embellishments you wish to include like buttons, paperclips, patterned papers, a snack and water (optional)
Please note that class size is limited so please sign up early to reserve your spot!
